Cahors, the original home of Malbec (locally known as Cot), before it ever migrated to Argentina. Sitting in deep gravely bend of the Lot River, Château de Cayrou is a historic Cahors pioneer with a storied terroir. Revived in 2009 by an ex-Renault executive, focused on producing the finest, traditional Malbec without oak, as a pure, transparent expressions of place.
